OpenCreators in one minute
- Name the actual files, formats, version, and intended use rather than selling an abstract idea.
- Describe how the buyer receives access using the current fulfillment process.
- State license, update, compatibility, refund, and support expectations only when they are real.
OpenCreators' product model includes digital-file products alongside services and games. A digital product should be described as a specific, inspectable outcome: a guide, template, preset, resource pack, audio asset, or another file-based deliverable the creator has the right to sell.
A product page can explain the digital item and support purchase, but the listing must accurately describe the current fulfillment path. Do not promise automatic download, lifetime updates, a license, or a file format unless that behavior and entitlement are actually available for the published product.
Define the product inventory
List every file or resource included, its format, and the environment needed to use it. For templates or presets, state the compatible software and version. For audio, video, or image assets, include relevant dimensions, duration, resolution, or file type.
Use a version date or release label when the contents may change. This helps buyers understand whether screenshots, examples, and documentation refer to the same edition.
Explain rights and limitations
Only sell material you created or are authorized to distribute. If the buyer receives personal-use, commercial-use, or limited-client rights, define those terms in plain language and connect them to the legal terms that govern the transaction.
Do not include third-party logos, game art, music, fonts, datasets, or templates merely because they are available online. Product media must also be authorized; a preview image is part of the public listing.
Set delivery and support expectations
The product description should state what happens after purchase. If delivery is handled manually or through chat, say so. If a file is attached through a supported platform flow, name the expected access step without promising functionality beyond the current product.
Support can cover a defined installation question or a limited correction, but it should not quietly become custom consulting. If buyers repeatedly need setup help, consider a separate service product.
Create a truthful preview
Show representative pages, screens, examples, or outputs without exposing the entire paid asset. The preview should reflect the current version and avoid results the product cannot produce by itself.
Use the public product page to verify copy, image crop, currency, and the primary action on desktop and mobile. Digital-product confidence comes from specificity: the buyer should know what they receive before they click.
Frequently asked questions
Does every digital product download automatically?
Do not assume that. The listing should describe the actual fulfillment method configured for the product. Automatic delivery should be claimed only when the published flow provides it.
Can a creator sell third-party files?
Only when the creator has explicit distribution rights. Being able to access a file does not grant permission to resell it.
